Belgian artist Marc Caelenberghe started stone carving at the company Minnestreel in Torhout at the age of forty. In one year, stone carving became a very important part of his life. "Carving in stone requires creativity, craftsmanship and skill. It's a fight with the stone", Marc explains. His pieces of art arise from ideas that cross his mind and things that happen to him in everyday life. He also makes custom sculptures that reflect personal emotions, which he calls "statues with emotions”.
