This barstool with armrests has a typical plywood fan filling the backrest. The upholstered version can be decorated with studs and the seat with relief plywood. To prevent damages a protective sheet can be placed on the front leg joint.

Michael Thonet (1796-1871), born in Germany, was a designer specialising in ‘bentwood'. Thonet and his sons set up a bentwood furniture factory in Bystřice pod Hostýnem in 1861.  In 1876, Chair No. 18 - one of the first models which was produced here and is still a part of our portfolio today.
